Rain Rain..

Rain rain go away.
Seriously.
Go away.

Minnesota has been raining like crazy. Non-stop. Had my basement flood a few days ago and it is been a fun time getting that all fixed up and ready to go. Not to mention the rain pretty much cuts short on my whole metal detecting fun. However! I will be going hunting tomorrow, rain or shine. This weather will not stop me. :D *Cue inspirational music*

On a side note, I worked yesterday. Found some decent finds. Not much but a few. Found my first 2012 penny, while not in the best shape, had to trade out a penny for it. Just to say I had one. A pre - 1960 nickel (However, not a war nickel), a canadian dime and a canadian quarter (2000 - so it has one of those fun designs on the back) along with a pretty old canadian penny (1953). I did manage to find a wheat (1944 D) but I already have quite a few of them. However, I think the coolest find I found last night was a foreign coin I have not seen before. "5 Pesewas" looks like it is dated 2007, and says "Chana" on the back. Interesting stuff! Oh and I also found a star note! Well -- Don't get to excited. It was a newer one. 2006 dollar bill. Decent shape, I just have a bad habit of buying all of them I see. Heh. I do like collecting them though.

As for the hunt I am planning, I'm hoping to get out tomorrow morning and spend most the afternoon hunting. If everything goes well (and I am hoping it will) I should be able to get a few good hours into my hunting. Which then of course will allow me to post my findings and some pictures of what I see. The only concern I do have however is that the ground is probably going to be a little wet. Cross your fingers! Apparently tomorrow is supposed to be pretty decent outside.

Well, I will keep my camera ready and my shovel digging for tomorrow. Regardless of what I find I will post some pictures and some info so you guys can check it out. Till tomorrow night!

Two hunts down -- More to come!

Hello ladies and gents!

I've so far gotten two hunts in this year. Both of which are at my local parks. So far - sadly - I have found nothing but clad and some junk. This blog will serve as a place for me to record my findings and keep a list of things I do find. I won't post pictures unless the finds are amazing or something new for me. On a positive note; I did happen upon a rather strange occurrence. I was hunting like normal when I found some change laying in in the grass. (On top of it) Guess I'll just have that towards my total clad for the year. ;) Who knows, maybe It will help me in the end run?

Planning a hunt for this week (Hopefully tomorrow!) in the woods. We'll see if that turns up anything good. Luckly the forest also has a giant river near it along with some sand shores and appears to not been used for much in years. We'll see if I find anything along there. I'll be sure to post about it.

Right now I am still shopping around for a good Pin Pointer. Thinking about picking up the bounty hunter one from Amazon. It's a good price and I don't feel like spending to much on one right now. Considering my detector (Which from the reviews I have read is considered to be a good one) didn't cost over 200, I'm not comfortable spending more then the detector on a pin pointer right now. We'll see in the future. :D Also still attempting to get my technique down. It's getting better. Been watching a few youtube videos here and there trying to find some tips. We'll see how it works out.

Well tonight I work at my job at the gas station, we'll see if any interesting coins turn up. Perhaps I'll get lucky and add a few to my already growing collection. =] Though, last few times I worked I haven't found much. Oh well, it's worth a shot!

Till next time!
